Christmas is a time for connection, solidarity, and hope. Within this spirit, the city of Chilpancingo hosted a celebration that fully reflected these values. CEREDI held its traditional Christmas posada, an event that brought together families, children, and staff in a festive atmosphere of community unity. On this occasion, the World Peace Organization (WOFP/OMPP) participated as a special guest, joining the initiative to share joy and strengthen institutional cooperation.

The event was led by the Director of CEREDI, Yazmín Castro Vargas, who reaffirmed the center’s commitment to inclusion and social welfare. Under her leadership, CEREDI has maintained a consistent mission of providing comprehensive care to families in the region. The posada became a tangible example of this effort, where every detail—from the organized activities to the festive decor—was designed to create a warm, accessible, and participatory environment for the community to celebrate life and hope.
Representing the WOFP, the Director of International Relations, Gustavo Arriaga Mozqueda, attended the event and emphasized the importance of building bridges between local institutions and international bodies, upholding the steadfast commitment of the WOFP Global President, Dr. Juan Samuel Delgado Cedillo. In his remarks, he highlighted that peace should not be understood merely as an abstract concept, but as a practice materialized through concrete actions of community support and the promotion of universal values. In this sense, every gesture of solidarity contributes to building a more just, inclusive, and humane social fabric.

One of the most meaningful moments of the celebration was the toy giveaway for all the children in attendance. Their smiles, excitement, and shared joy became the true symbols of the day. For a child, receiving a gift during the holidays is more than just a material present; it is a manifestation of affection, recognition, and hope. The collaboration between the WOFP and CEREDI ensured that every child experienced a moment of happiness that will remain in their memory as part of a Christmas marked by unity and generosity.

The CEREDI posada, with the support of the WOFP, left a clear and powerful message: Christmas is an opportunity to reaffirm the values of solidarity, inclusion, and fraternity. Beyond the celebration, the event served as a reminder that peace is built through simple gestures that brighten hearts and that, when institutions work together, their social impact is multiplied. In Chilpancingo, hope shone brightly, and every child’s smile stood as a testament that peace begins in the community and projects outward to the world.
